Vulcan Tooling System for Murata Wiedemann Punch Presses

When Murata Wiedemann designed a new line of tooling, they came to Mate for precision manufacturing. Mate has now added the Vulcan Tooling System to our list of tooling styles available for the Murata Wiedemann machines. Premium High Speed Tool Steel punches, metal strippers and Mate’s Slug Free® Die design are all standard features of the Vulcan Tooling line.

Vulcan Style Punches: - high speed tool steel for exceptional tool life. 1/4 degree back taper and near polished flanks to reduce friction and eliminate galling. Minute corner radii to reduce chipping and extend tool life. 

Vulcan Style Stripper: Metal stripper provides lateral punch support to improve piece part quality and extend tool life. Superior angularity and concentricity for better piece part quality. 

Slug Free® Dies: High Wear Strength, chrome air hardened tool steel to balance hardness and toughness.SLUG FREE® die geometry eliminates slug pulling. Uniform clearance radii in die corners to eliminate pip marks. Precision orientation with external pin. Up to 0.118(3.00) grind life. Superior roundness and flatness with exceptional die strength.
