The MDT-8 is a motorized digital twin hardness tester that provides readings for both regular and superficial Rockwell scales. 

Switch from regular scales to superficial scales by rotating the collar above the penetrator and turning the major load selector dial to the weight desired. Reads the following hardness scales: A,B,CD,E,F,G,H,K,L.M,P,R,S,V,1530-45,N,T,W,X,Y. Ball bearing guide system. Digital readout. The exact hardness value displayed to the nearest tenth of a number. Automatic of manual major load application. The appropriate test scale selected and displayed on the front control panel. Dial-a-weight system for easy setting of major loads. Variable load holding time to 1-99 seconds. BCD and RS-232C outputs allows direct connections to computers or the appropriate printer. Light to view the specimen. All principal parts are enclosed in a one-piece heavy duty cast housing. Assorted anvils. Assorted test blocks.
