With several years of experience in the metalworking industry behind him and already the founder of two companies specializing in the marketing of machinery, Carlin knew there was much more to be accomplished. He wanted to connect this international industry through the use of the internet by aggregating content and delivering it through a website and emails (and now mobile phones and twitter).
