Area of Responsibility
•Creates and maintains CNC programs, organizes and maintains set-up sheets and related documents and operates the CNC machines.
•Troubleshoots and resets basic machine faults
•Recognizes, adheres to and maintains a safety first workplace. Maintains an organized and clean work environment
•Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut or enters commands to retrieve, input or edit computerized machine control media.
•Produces first-run parts, sample work pieces, and production parts to support the manufacturing, sales, and quality processes.
•Operates and observes machine operation to detect malfunction or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.
•Reads and interprets project blueprints.
•Assists with quality control procedures to ensure that the quality of all products meet specification in current operations.

Qualifications
•High School, Trade School, College Degree or 5 to 7 years of related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•5 to 7 years experience in CNC setup and machining to include program editing, program modifications, machine setup, tooling and troubleshooting.
•Adept in blueprint interpretation and utilization of advance mathematical principles to ensure initial machine setup meet operational requirements. Must be able to interpret blue-prints and work to operation instructions.
•Knowledge of all types of measuring devices used in performing first-article, in process and final part quality checks.
•Knowledge of safety requirements within a manufacturing setting.
