Specifications
Forge tonnage: 3,150 metric tons Movable die stroke: 350 mm (13.799") Max. ram stroke: 700 mm (27.559") Ram workstroke: 480 mm (18.879") Ram return stroke w/closed dies: 270 mm (10.629") Dist. btwn ram/dies ram forward: 290 mm (11.417") Die dimensions (LxWxHmm): 1,020 x 390 x 1,300 Height above floor: 4,960 mm (195.216") Main drive motor power: 250 kw (335.3 hp) Net weight: 415,000 kgs (914,918.4lbs) New in 1977, this is an Extra Heavy Duty Hot Upset Forging Machine. The frame is of high-quality steel casting reinforced by ribs and bracing studs and due to its size, this machine has detachable frames for easier shipping. The extra long upsetting ram is cast of steel. The gripper ram moves at right angles to the upsetting path and is driven from a crankshaft through a linkage. The linkage incorporates a toggle-and-spring device preventing parts of the gripper mechanism from being damaged. This machine is driven from the main motor, via a V-belt drive and a gearbox. An engagement clutch and a brake are friction discs, with electro pneumatic control. A pivoted stop is provided for limiting stock feed before upsetting in the first position. The stop is automatically retracted when the stock is clamped by the dies. The tooling water is cooled. Push-button controls are installed. The electrical system ensures automatic, setup and single-stroke modes of operation. Centralized lubrication system is installed. This machine is available for immediate inspection and delivery.
