Ambo Technologies | Company Profile

Retaining, Reshoring, and Accelerating Canadian Innovation

Ambo Technologies is driven by our passion to Retain, Reshore, and Accelerate innovation in the Canadian manufacturing marketplace. Our roots are in design, engineering, manufacturing and product lifecycle management (PLM) with notable strengths in CAM / CNC-centric technologies and emerging RAPID / Additive Manufacturing methods. We care about supporting manufacturing leadership in our own backyard and seeing local companies combine investment in advanced, best-of-breed technologies; people; lean processes; and automation to compete successfully at a global level. From small shops to large OEMs, we want to see Canadian manufacturing thriving with a focus on productivity and local innovation.

We're Passionate About What We Do

Headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Ambo Technologies, www.AmboTech.com, has been serving the Canadian manufacturing marketplace since 1997 providing best-of-breed solutions, professional services and consulting to our long list of successful clients who continue to demonstrate our cabability to compete and lead at a world-class level. We are motivated by homegrown success stories that bring value to our economy, encourage investment and produce high-value jobs with minimal compromise to our environment. To this endeavour, we help our clients successfully bring together people, advanced technologies and systems, with optimized business processes to drive productivity in design, engineering and manufacturing. We deliver this through a consultative, solutions approach and a commitment to strong working relationships with our customers and partners as we work together to combine domain expertise with the right balance of technology, professional services, and support. Our success is measured by the number of our customers who may be contacted for reference with our goal being to have every customer on that list.

The broad application of our solutions and services serve a multitude of manufacturing industries such as automotive, aerospace, industrial mfg., job shops / machine shops, nuclear, oil & gas, medical / life sciences / health care, consumer goods, architecture, government, and education.

Today, we see tremendous opportunity to drive growth and productivity with the "reshoring" of Canadian innovation and ingenuity by investing in advanced technologies, automation, lean process optimization, system integration and the skilled people who are needed to bring it all together. Emerging RAPID manufacturing technologies combined with increasing sophistication of enterprise IT systems; design & engineering tools; machining and fabrication centres; advanced tooling; automation systems; and CAM / CNC programming software, provide a competitive opportunity to keep innovation and skilled jobs in our backyard by boosting productivity and quality while reducing costs. 3D printing and additive manufacturing technologies open up new opportunities to leverage our strengths, resources and natural tendencies towards research, creativity and invention.

Working closely with our customers, with focus aligned to strategic business drivers for productivity and growth, its time to be thinking "our shore" not offshore. Together, we want to turn the focus again on innovation, higher learning, creativity, training, and investment with attention to detail and the highest levels of quality, to produce some of the world's next great products and technologies, but produced on Canadian soil. We believe the opportunity is in products with high complexity, precision and quality requirements that are not necessarily manufactured in high volume. This is where we can excel in the realities of today's global economy. Canada has a history of rich contribution to innovation on the world stage. We want to build on this heritage and combine our strengths to secure our foundation, to compete generations into the future, while producing and maintaining highly skilled and well paying jobs locally.

Our passion for quality and success in pursuit of the ideals we see for the future of Canadian Manufacturing, are supported by the vision and technologies of our leading partners in our overall solutions and professional services offering. We will continue to seek best-in-class solutions and partners that enable innovation and productivity in design to manufacturing that we can take to our customers, and look forward to partnering with those who share our vision and passion that goes beyond our commercial interests, and considers quality of life for our families, friends and neighbours.

In addition to our deep experience in design, engineering, and manufacturing, Ambo has been involved in 3D printing since its early commercialization for rapid prototyping applications. With our unique experience in traditional manufacturing methods, including CAD/CAM/CNC/Fabrication, and our early entry into 3D printing as reseller and service provider, our business has evolved to offer a competitive OnDemand 3D Parts printing and rapid prototyping service. Our focus is on quick quoting capability, fast turnaround, and high quality finished parts across a wide range of printing technologies and materials to meet each client's needs and budget. We have the flexibility to respond quickly to the need for high quality models, mock-ups,and functional prototypes or respond to low volume production part requirements with Plastic Jet (PJP), ColourJet (CJP), MultiJet (MJP, including multi-material), Selective Laser Sintering (SLS), Stereolithography (SLA), Direct Metal Sintering (DMLS), and cast urethane molding.

This service is also an excellent compliment for customers who already own a 3D printer or considering purchase, as we can provide parts in virtually all printing processes and materials offered by 3D Systems where a single printer cannot serve every requirement.
