NTL III casting machine is designed as an addition to low-pressure CACT 500 Al batch kiln that is manufactured by Realistic a.s., which is designed to make casts of aluminium and its alloys.
The machine is of a four-column construction, where the columns lead the movable plates and transmit the closing force. The addition is fitted to the batch kiln with two bolts on which the addition can be tilted using hydraulic valves. The individual addition comprises of upper fixed plate, leading columns, movable plate and base plate. The closing cylinder is placed on the upper plate along with a safety device to prevent lowering of the movable plate due to its own weight. The position of the plate is monitored by a detector alongside the whole length of the stroke. The movable plate bears a cast puncher that is hydraulically controlled. The puncher can make a cast at any height of the closing cylinder stroke. The upper chucking plate is tiltable to make the access easier.
