TOTAL NIGHTMARE! WORST EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE!
TOTAL NIGHTMARE! WORST EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE! I ordered a $4000 Tennsmith HBU-4812 Box and Pan brake at Tyler’s Tools (tylershvacequipment dot com). Two days after sending the wire transfer, I received a payment confirmation and an estimated delivery time of 6-7 weeks from Mr. Ryan Tyler, the president/owner of Tyler’s Tools. During that period, I sent him a couple emails following up the order status, to which I received answers such as: “Tennsmith is not capable of meeting deadlines, so expect some delays” or “We checked again today with Tennsmith, and they said it will take them at least 2 more weeks to deliver” or “Tennsmith informed us that your machine will be ready next week” or… This went on and on for about 2 months. At this point, I decided to call myself to Tennsmith to check what was going on. It turned out that Tennsmith never received an order from Tyler’s Tools whatsoever!!! So I called back to Mr. Tyler and asked what was going on, to which he answered that he was sorry about forgetting to place the order and that all he could do was to place the order right away, but it will take another 6 to 7 weeks to deliver it!!! I was just in shock! I mean, how can someone pretend to lead a business by being such an incompetent, liar and disrespectful ass towards his clients? Anyway, just to make a looooong story short, after realizing that talking with Mr. Tyler was absolutely senseless, I decided I had to solve this myself. So, I talked to Mr. Mike Smith, the president of Tennsmith, and explained him the whole situation. He was of great help. He understood my position and did everything he could to solve this unpleasant situation as smooth as possible. After a few days, the machine was ready to be picked up (instead of having to wait the standard 6-7 weeks). The sad part was that I still had to order through Tyler’s Tools, since Tennsmith only sells through their dealers. As if it wasn’t enough, just about the time when the machine was ready to be picked up, Mr. Tyler “informed me” that I had to pay an additional $500 for crating!!! WHAT?!? Again, thanks only to Mr. Smith and his will to help it was possible to cut the ‘surprise cost’ to half. In conclusion, if you want to buy a Tennsmith product (which are of great quality I must say), get it from any other of their authorized dealers, but BY ALL MEANS STAY AWAY from TYLER’S TOOLS if you do appreciate your own health, time and money. I would rather pay twice as much anywhere else than having to deal again with such an incompetent liar as Mr. Ryan Tyler.
