    ELECTRICAL

    DRIVE MOTOR
    Heavy duty shunt wound design 24/36 volt (48 Volt Optional) with Class H insulation and brazed commutator connections. Armature is dynamically balanced and mounted on ball bearings.

    MOTOR CONTROLLER
    The Curtis Separately Excited motor controller, the standard controller, uses Mossfet technology with cold contactor switching, which will give extended battery, and motor life which will give years of dependable service. Regenerative braking increases usable battery energy and reduces motor heating.

    LIGHTING
    The Model 300 has headlight and stop/tail light as standard equipment.

    INSTRUMENT PANEL
    All-in-one Dash Display that provides the Battery Level, Hour Meter, Maintenance Indicator for service, and Programmable Maintenance monitor which allows end user to program for maintenance intervals. The headlight is wired to the key so headlight is on at all times with key on.

    DRIVE AXLE
    Full Float carrier type housing with hypoid gears and two stage reduction and leaf spring suspension.

    STEERING
    Combined with the standard Tilt/Telescoping Steering Column and two gear boxes, the unit was designed so there is little effort to steer.

    SERVICE/PARKING BRAKES
    The service Brake and Parking brake caliper are one in the same. The Parking Brake is actuated with lever and is mechanically applied on caliper, while the service brakes are hydraulically applied by a brake pedal.

    TRAVEL SPEED
    The travel speed is adjustable from 0 to 8.03 mph (12.92 kmph).

    TIRES
    Front: Two12”x3”(305mmx76mm) Casters.
    Rear: 4” x 8” (102 mm x 203 mm) Solid Pneumatic.

    A & G Manufacturing Co., Inc. was founded by Arvin Shifley & Glen Shifley Sr. in 1971. We are still a family owned company today. We started out as a Job Shop facility with machining, welding, fabricating, and finish painting. In 1975 we built our first building which has had 5 expansions and is now called Plant 2. In 1993 we purchased what is now called Plant 1. In 1996 we purchased the Pettibone Mercury Tow Tractor line after fabricating and assembling the units for them for several years.
