The positioning of a knife blade or an assembled knife against the grinding wheel, using a 6-axis robot, results in the grinding of granton edge in a single process operation, as well as contour grinding of ripples and/or micro-toothing for table or steak knives.
A variety of robot configurations are available, dependent upon the required cycle time. Various magazine systems are also available. Part-oriented programming takes place with a Windows-compatible program.
