1. FGM400 CNC gear form grinding machine is a precision metal-cutting machine, which is suitable for grinding high precision gears. The principle used is form grinding, i.e. the section profile of grinding wheel is dressed to engage with tooth space well, so form grinding can be carried out.
2. Movements and operations of the machine are simple; it employs deep-cutting with slow-feeding mode to grind and is characterized by high machining accuracy, high efficiency, excellent reliability, good stability, high automation, various machining objects, and flexible gear modification. The machine employs horizontal structure with 4 axes of 3 axes in synchronization. High precision rolling needle type linear guideway is used on linear moving axis, which makes the machine have high rigidity and accuracy.
3. FGM400 employs Siemens 840D CNC system, servo system and driving system. Torque motor of Siemens is also adopted on the workpiece axis to eliminate backlash entirely.
4. The grinding spindle employs 1FE1 built-in synchronous motor, internal and external gear grinding adopts the same motor; max motor power is 11.5kW. Form dressing employs work spindle without respective dressing spindle.
5. Except the time for indexing and dressing grinding wheel, the other working time is effective time. Form gear grinding enlarges the grinding contact area between section shape of grinding wheel and gear, increase grinding amount in unit time, which improves grinding efficiency.
6. As for the software, we developed program package featuring the functions of grinding calculation, parameterized interface, common database of gears, random measurement, etc.
