The single-shaft construction re­liably and effectively eliminates any trace of deformation on the bowls of spoons which are difficult to ma­chine. The swivel-type Hauschild work-piece holder used allows the bowls to be swivelled onto the working roller. The swivel movement of the work piece holder combined with the changing direction of rotation of the machine guarantees a first-class machining result, both on the deep section at the rear and at the edges of the bowls of the spoons.
