Most applications today using directional blasting cabinets require hand-held guns for part processing but there are some parts that process better and faster using batch loads. This is the function of all tumble basket and tumble barrel models.

The TB-5 is a complete machine equipped with a removable tumble basket for larger parts that do not fit inside the faster Tumble Barrel model. Tumble Baskets normally have a removable fixed basket with an open top mounted inside the machine. This type of unit will process larger and longer parts that the faster tumble barrel machines will not handle. Because of the shape of the parts the basket operates using less densely packed parts allowing removal of the basket for part unload. Tumble Basket models are less costly than the faster processing barrel type machine but it's the part shape and size of the parts that decides which machine is best suited for the application.
