This O.D. Grinder allows for flexible machining of carbide and HSS tool blanks utilizing contour peel grinding, plunge grinding and oscillating grinding.
The kinematics are based on a polymer concrete machine bed combining large workspace with short axes travels. The Y and Z linear axes are equipped with high-resolution glass scale measuring systems, two water-cooled motor spindles allow for high quality roughing and finishing operations in one clamping. Optional automatic balancing is available for both spindles as well as wheel head swiveling (back taper -3° and front taper 12°).
