TORGIM 350/400 is a very precise machine, particularly studied in order to offer accuracy, rigidity, easy operation. It can be used both for great and little production. It has ergonomics and manoeuvrability with a big spindle bore.
The carriage slides on the bed guided in the front part by a prismatic guide and in the back part by a flat guide. With a solid structure it is able to stand to a strong cutting moment assuring a constant precision at the same time. The cross slide has a wide support and guide section that gives it sturdiness. The ways of the cross slide and little carriage are ground and adjusted by means of conic gibs; the respective coupling planes are manually scraped to permit an accurate and precise mounting. All movements are driven by screws with adjustable nuts and controlled by means of graduated verniers.

Torgim is a company constituted by mr. paolo giana in 1966 to produce centre lathes with covered guides and a natural gap that permits to reach big diametres under head, without any reorganization of the machine and, so on, increasing it’s versatility.
