The ITM UODG is an O.D. Grinding Machine for chamfering taps. The machine is equipped with an automatic cassette loading system that uses standard cassettes for extended production runs. With four CNC controlled axes, setup time is fast, making the machine economical for both large and small tool grinding production runs.

Setting up a new job is easily accomplished. Since the distance from the face of the wheel flange to the point of the tail stock center is known, the operator only needs to enter a small number of parameters such as: tool length, tool O.D., number of flutes, chamfer angle, chamfer length, wheel width, wheel O.D., and the angle(s) of the cam relief. (It is possible to vary the angle of the cam relief along the arc of the chamfer)
