The Caorle model CL-32 is a high precision, double end facing, centering and endworking machine, featuring two (2) horizontally opposed machining spindles. Workpiece positioning and clamping is with centralized hydraulic clamping stations, for the simultaneous plunge-type machining on both ends of barstock, tubing, castings and forgings. The standard equipped machine is configured with two (2) horizontally opposed machining units, with each machining unit containing one ISO-40 taper spindle housing, centrally mounted on a longitudinal saddle that moves on centrally mounted slideways with precision ground, box-type ways. Workpiece clamping consists of two hydraulic clamping stations which are also mounted and positioned on the pair of wide, centrally located, box-type ways, with automatic self-centering and fully adjustable clamp positioning along the entire length of the machine. All machine operation and functions are programmed, controlled and monitored at the CNC control. Typical endworking operations performed include facing, centerdrilling, drilling, neck turning, chamfering, spot-facing, counterboring and more. The use of Siemens CNC controllers with Caorle’s own easy to use conversational programming is standard.
